Connecting a monitor or a TV to the MZ-700
|
Connecting a TV to the MZ-700 |
Turn off the power of the MZ-700 and remove the connexion to mains.
Remove the antenna cable from the TV. Connect the cable accessoried
to the MZ-700 to the RF output connector
at the reverse side of the MZ-700 and to the RF input connector of the
TV.

- Adjust the TV before connecting it to the MZ-700.
- Note the colour quality of a TV isn't high like the colour of a
colour monitor. Try to set the best colour quality at the TV by fine
tuning. In some cases you have to tune the channel trim element at
the reverse side of the MZ-700 too. To this, view
for more details now.
- If the frequencies of the horizontal oscillator and the vertical
oscillator of the TV and the MZ-700 are not equal (synchron ) parts
of the screen will be lost.
- If the screen isn't centered parts of the screen can be lost too.
- Don't connect both the antenna and the MZ-700 to the TV otherwise
interferences of other radios and / or TV's can appear.
- Use only the 75 Ohm antenna input connector of the TV, otherwise
if impossible use a cable having an impedance of 75 Ohms.
- Some combinations of foreground colour and background colour of
a displayed character make it impossible to show the character correct.
In this case try to display only black and white colours to intensify
the contrast by using the B / W switch
at the reverse side of the MZ-700.
- Best results will be obtained by using the foreground colour white
( character colour ) and the background colour blue.
- No audio signals are supported by the MZ-700 using a TV. Use the
internal loudspeaker of the MZ-700.
