V-RAM, 2KB RAM ( Character RAM part of the V-RAM, address range from $D000 to $D7FF ).

It contains all characters of the display lines 0 - 24 if scrolling isn't supported by the system program ( e.g. monitor program ) otherwise, if scrolling is supported ( e.g. S-BASIC ) it contains the lines 0 - 49, each line has 40 characters.

The display code of each character stored in the character ROM differs from the MZ-700 ASCII-code ( SHARP ASCII code ).
