Well, I've been able to quickly try a K6-2 in the VX-Pro+, and it works!!!
The Bios identifies the CPU as "K6 3D xxx" were xxx is the Mhz rating.
Using a retail version of the K6-2/350 (CXT core) at 2.34V, I was able to work at the following rates;
Reported speed as shown by Bios during boot.
4.5 x 75 = 337.5 reported as 333
5 x 75 = 375 reported as 366
5.5 x 75 = 412.5 reported as 400
Using Sisoft Sandra 99, the true clock speeds were identified, but the benchmarks were a little strange;

As you can see the processor MIPs were lower than for the standard K6, even though the FPU was working more efficiently.
I suspect that some of the registers specific to the K6-2 were not being set by the Bios (and as it's the latest version I don't suppose it will be fixed), so I really need to try the 'setK6' programs and rerun the benchmarks.
