A map identical to the one below, but rotated through 90 degrees appears on p. 25 of the MZ-800 TECHNICAL MANUAL. ( Note that unused points in the matrix are indicated by two rows of "****" )
NOTE that the two SHIFT keys are mapped to the same point on the matrix. Therefore, you can STROBE row $F8 and check KEY DATA BIT 0, which will be ZERO if one of the two SHIFT keys is being pressed. ( It will also be ZERO if both SHIFT keys are being pressed simultaneously,
but that is a rather academic point ). |
