What This Package Does
----------------------
This package provides accessibility features for TrackPoint.
(TrackPoint driver version 3.00 or above is required.)

Installation instructions
-------------------------
NOTE:
- To determine if you should update the TrackPoint Accessibility
Features, refer to the "Summary of Changes" section.
- ThinkPad Software Installer provides install/(uninstall) wizard
for this package.
INSTALL FOR Windows 98/Me/2000/NT 4.0/XP:
1. Start Windows 98/Me/2000/NT 4.0/XP.
(Windows 2000/NT 4.0/XP only)
Logon with administrative privileges.
2. Click Start and then click Run.
3. Click the Browse button.
4. Select the folder where TrackPoint Accessibility Features package
is stored.
5. Select Setup.exe.
6. Click the Open button.
7. Click OK.
8. Select a language when Choose Setup Language popup panel appears,
and click OK.
9. Click Next.
10. Restart the system.
Unattended install
This is for system administrators' use only.
1. Start Windows 98/Me/NT 4.0/2000/XP.
NOTE: Windows 2000/NT 4.0/XP users need to logon with administrative
privileges.
2. Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
3. Click Start and then click Run
4. Type C:\DRIVERS\WIN\TP4ACCS\SETUP -S -SMS and click OK.
Determining which version is installed
(Windows 98)
1. Start Windows 98.
2. Click Start, select Find, and then click Files or Folders.
3. Click the Name & Location tab.
4. In the Named: field, type tp4ex.cpl.
5. In the Look in: field, specify Local Hard drives (C:,D:).
6. Click the Find Now button. Windows will now search your hard disk
drive for tp4ex.cpl. If the file is not found, then the TrackPoint
Accessibility Features package is not installed on your system.
7. Scroll the window to the right and look at the Modified column.
The time stamp on TP4EX.CPL file will be the version number.
01:04a - is version 1.04
(Windows Me)
1. Start Windows Me.
2. Click Start, select Search, and then click For Files or Folders.
3. In the Search for files or folders named: field, type tp4ex.cpl.
4. In the Look in: field, specify Local Disk (C:).
5. Click the Search Now button. Windows will now search your hard disk
drive for tp4ex.cpl. If the file is not found, then the TrackPoint
Accessibility Features package is not installed on your system.
6. Scroll the window to the right and look at the Modified column.
The time stamp on TP4EX.CPL file will be the version number.

(Windows NT 4.0)
1. Start Windows NT 4.0.
2. Click Start, select Find, and then click Files or Folders.
3. Click the Name & Location tab.
4. IIn the Named: field, type tp4ex.cpl.
5. In the Look in: field, specify Local Hard drives (C:,D:).
6. Click on the Find Now button. Windows will now search your hard disk
drive for tp4ex.cpl. If the file is not found, then the TrackPoint
Accessibility Features package is not installed on your system.
7. Scroll the window to the right and look at the Modified column.

(Windows 2000)
1. Start Windows 2000.
2. Click Start, select Search, and then click For Files or Folders.

1. Start Windows XP.
2. For Windows XP with Classic Start Menu, click Start, select Search,
and click For Files or Folders. Otherwise, click Start, select Search.
3. In the Search Companion panel, click All files and folders.
4. In the All or part of the file name: field, type tp4ex.cpl.
5. In the Look in: field, specify Local Hard Drives (C:,D:).
6. Click the Search button. Windows will now search your hard disk
drive for tp4ex.cpl. If the file is not found, then the TrackPoint
Accessibility Features package is not installed on your system.
7. Scroll the window to the right and look at the Date Modified column.
The time stamp on TP4EX.CPL file will be the version number.
