IBM Rapid Restore PC software
for Microsoft Windows 98, Me, 2000, and XP
Version 2.03 (build 6135.6)
Installation README

This package will install the IBM Rapid Restore PC software
that comes preinstalled in your IBM(R) computer. This package
will also install the full version of the IBM Rapid Restore PC
software on select models. This update requires approximately
44MB of space on your hard disk (drive C), this does not
include the space required for your backup partition.

IBM Rapid Restore PC protects against unexpected computer disasters
such as image corruption and data loss. Rapid Restore PC provides a
localized recovery solution that can quickly recover a system.
Recovery is accomplished by pressing the F11 key and selecting the
most recent backup.

During the initial setup of a computer, Rapid Restore PC creates an
IBM Service Partition on the hard disk drive that is inaccessible by
any other application or the end user. The IBM Service Partition is
set by default to utilize 20% of available space on the hard disk
drive.

This package is intended for IBM IntelliStation, IBM NetVista,
IBM PC300, and IBM ThinkPad systems that come with the IBM Rapid
Restore PC software.
